The latest happening is of my grand aunt.

She has left the world of the living. The date 05/04/2009 is counted as a sacred date as she had passed on on that very day. At the time of around 5.30-7.00am. I do not know the actual timing or sequence of events as I was sleeping soundly, not knowing the dreaded events that were about to occur.

When I woke up, I heard my parents talking on the phone and frantically moving around the house. My mum came into my arms and cried. She told me that my great aunt had passed away that morning...I was sunk into a deep hole of nothingness. But I knew I could not be that way the whole day so I just put on a mask. A mask that I always put on when I am outside. But today's one was special. The mask let me feel nothingness even as I laugh with my tuition friends.

1st tuition...it is now 10:30am

2nd tuition...it is now 12:30pm

3rd tuition...it is now 16:00pm

After going for my haircut, I rested for about an hour and finally left home at around 5.45pm for the funeral of her. We went to some place(which I do know know where) and waited there until about 6.30pm. At 6.30, we then proceeded with the funeral and the monk started to chant. After paying respect to my great aunt, my mother went to look at her and started to cry. We went around her corpse a few times, chanting the Sutra. Following that, we sent her off into the place she would be kept. Throughout this whole event, only 8 people were present.

Anyway, that was what happened that made the date so sacred and I wish that she would rest in peace in her next life.

As the saying goes: 'Death is but a new journey.'
